Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome
Tarsal tunnel syndrome is a nerve compression disorder that presents with ankle and heel pain and worsens with activity. Patients may also describe numbness on the sole of the foot. With rest, the pain often improves. Initial treatment includes orthotic management and injections. When non-operative management is unsuccessful, Dr. Nadaud is an expert at performing a tarsal tunnel release. Based on his expertise in the field, April 2, 2016, he gave a lecture at St. Louis University School of Medicine on the subject of surgical management for tarsal tunnel syndrome at the “Muscoloskeletal Summit: Where Orthopedics and Neurology Meet.”
